This is what the tuba player was looking out on from his bench on the bluff. The cruise ship was speeding on its way out the bay into the Sound and on to Alaska.

She needed some mom support to go down the people-eating slide. The snout of the salmon is distorted like that of one near the end of the spawning stage. Carkeek Park is home of Piper's Creek and other tributaaries which salmon will find their way to during the fall.

This little hummer held its own in a tiff with another one. Then they both rested. Now what do humming birds have to fight about, I wonder?
