The huge windows of St. Mark's Cathedral, and the 1920s light fixtures consisting of a ring of 12 lights surrounding 3 central lights centered in a cross in a circle. Cheap date night is Sunday at 9:30 for the popular Compline service attended by hundreds of high school and college age young adults who lie on the floor or sit in the pews and listen quietly to the chant service.

Everyone in Ballard is effectively surrounded by development. Change has come rapidly and only now as several projects near completion does it seem to be registering with residents just how altered the skyline of Ballard will be.
