More Propel Biodiesel
One of the film crew members of "Best Dad In the World, starring Robin Williams and shooting on location here in Seattle this July, owns this beauty. Lucky, lucky guy! Circa 1959 tomato soup red with white accents.

I found this staircase attractive. It leads to the back side of the 1999 King Street Center office building. It is located across from the entrance to the King Street Amtrack station.

Key Arena (the huge white roofed structure in foreground which has a red lighted sign at it peak) seems to echo the shape of snow covered Mount Rainier in the shadowy background.

Playing with the Space Needle again. This time a curb-side sign caught my eye as I was going by and saw it lined up with the Needle. Trying to get some fresh ways to look at the over-shot city icon. This image was featured in Flickr's Explore section.

The Olympic Sculpture Park is dissected by an avenue and a wide girth of train tracks that carry frequent freight trains that service the Port of Seattle docks and Boeing aircraft manufacturing plants, as well as passenger trains. I liked the slicing triangles of space and concrete that appear in the view under a pedestrian path of the Sculpture Park above.

My love's scarred hand in sunset light resting on the "O" of Love & Loss, time ticking away. This is our first Valentine's Day apart. I will miss the sweet roses.

Love & Loss installation's "O" is actually a small pool that folks seem to be throwing coins into. . .wishing for only love, I'm sure.

Beyond "Love & Loss" and the Olympic Sculpture Park are some of the tallest buildings of Seattle's skyline. At left is the Municipal Tower, then the WaMu Tower, then the WaMu Building(which has the word LOVE visible on it at night for Valentine's Day 2008), and peeking from behind them is the tallest, the Columbia Tower.

By the time I could get away to take photos, they had turned the lights out and there was only a dim outline, not visable enough from the Olympic Sculpture Park.

The huge windows of St. Mark's Cathedral, and the 1920s light fixtures consisting of a ring of 12 lights surrounding 3 central lights centered in a cross in a circle. Cheap date night is Sunday at 9:30 for the popular Compline service attended by hundreds of high school and college age young adults who lie on the floor or sit in the pews and listen quietly to the chant service.

At age 86, apparently money has limited appeal. Meanwhile the commercial development continues to rise ever taller around three sides of this long-time Ballard resident's home.

Everyone in Ballard is effectively surrounded by development. Change has come rapidly and only now as several projects near completion does it seem to be registering with residents just how altered the skyline of Ballard will be.

A senior woman in Ballard did not wish to sell her home to developers when they bought up the surrounding properties. She was a lone hold out.
