November 29 View of Needle Adorned with Christmas Tree Lights

The Space Needle decked out for the Christmas season dominates the view of the Seattle skyline on this cold, crisp night. The travel editor from Cooking Light magazine shot me a few interview questions several months ago, which was so nice. Who knew anyone at Cooking Light had reason to peek at my Seattle Daily Photo blog? In the December issue they are featuring Seattle as the number one city in their top 20 cities for healthy living. They were kind enough to mention SDP in the article along with some of my comments. The copy editor refers to Seattle Daily Photo as having several photographers, but it's just little ol' me. They went with Kerry Park lookout as the best photo spot out of the several I suggested and used a couple other things in other parts of the article. Kind of fun. So, here's the postcard view in salute to the editors of Cooking Light for honoring Seattle. Thanks so much!

Market Theater Box Office Window

Now gum is appearing in the box office entryway and beyond on wall going further south along the alley. Compare this shot with the one like it that I took last winter.

Market Theater Entryway Playbill Window

The gum wall installation continues around the corner into the entryway now.

Market Theater Window, Post Alley. The gum is sparser to the south of the theater entryway, and more elaborate figures and letters are made in these areas.

The original part of the gum wall has become too crowded to add to, so the blobs are slowly creeping south down the alley.

More Seattle Weather: Hail Outside My Door

Hail Outside My Door, originally uploaded by Seattle Daily Photo.

Wow, it really poured on Friday afternoon, then the lightning with immediate thunder and a driving downpour of large hail stones. They piled up 2 inches deep outside my door within two minutes time.

Seattle City Hall

No, it's not the architect's model; this is the city hall seen from the top of the Sears Tower. I've shown you other features of this complex, but this gives you the full picture of this "green" campus. Yes, that is grass on the roof (the same architects helped plan the Ballard branch of the library, which also has a grass roof).
